For my mitzvah project I want to raise money for the Magen David Adom organization based in Israel. My mitzvah project means a lot to me because I want to support my many family members in Israel, their safety and their health is so important to me. I also feel deeply connected to the health care community because I have grown up watching my own grandmother, a physician, help people and save lives everyday. Judaism teaches us the importance of tikkun olam—repairing the world—and chesed, acts of kindness. Through this project, I will raise donations to support the Magen David Adom organization. This experience will help me understand the value of responsibility, compassion, and giving back, and it will show me how even small actions can have a meaningful impact.

Magen David Adom, which means “Red Shield of David” in Hebrew, is the organization responsible for providing emergency medical care, ambulance services, blood donations, and disaster response throughout Israel.
All donations made will be matched and will directly benefit the Magen David Adom organization.
